  3. return the signed and dated Course and Assignment Certification Statement located at the end of the course.
  4. pass any required course final examination at an approved school location.

Prelicense Examination Registration Form

If you are taking a Georgia prelicense course (Salesperson or Broker), you must create an account at www.barneyfletcher.com to fill out the application for licensure. The AMP form is listed under the "My Account" field on the left side of the page once successfully logged in. Once all questions are answered hit Update. The information on this form will then be electronically submitted by the school to Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) so that you may schedule your state licensing examination online or by phone once you complete the prelicense course and pass the course final examination. Failure to submit the form to the school in a timely manner may result in a delay in your ability to schedule the state real estate examination once you complete your prelicense course.

Course Final Examinations

The Commission requires that a student successfully pass a proctored final examination for each sales prelicense (75 hours), broker prelicense (60 hours), or sales postlicense (25 hour), course. The Board requires that a student successfully pass a proctored final examination for each Appraisal pre-licensing course, and the 15 hour USPAP course (USPAP requires 76% for a passing grade). Barney Fletcher Schools requires that you answer correctly a minimum of 75% of the total questions on a final examination to pass the course. No proctored final examination is required for any continuing education course of 24 hours or less.

You may take a course final examination only after completing all other requirements for a course and only after the school has received your affidavit, survey & completed AMP form (Real Estate Sales and Broker Prelicensing). You must contact a school administrator to schedule a final examination. Normally examinations for distance education courses are administered once a week at our testing center at the Galleria 75 school location in Atlanta, Georgia, and periodically at St. Simon's Island, Georgia. Course examinations may not be administered at any other site without the prior authorization of the School Director.

If you do not pass the course final examination, Barney Fletcher Schools will provide you at no charge an opportunity to pass a second, separate examination. You must score a minimum of 75% correct to pass the second examination. If you do not pass the second exam, the Commission requires that you retake the course a second time. The school will provide you a discount for the second course, or you may enroll in a classroom course (when available) at no charge for up to one year from your original enrollment date. USPAP examinees may take an exam 3 times before having to retake the course (76% or better).

Credit for Duplicate Courses

Commission and Board regulations state that a real estate licensee or licensed appraiser who has successfully completed an approved continuing education course to meet any part of the continuing education requirement may not repeat that course for credit unless one full year has passed since the completion of the course.

Time Limit

Barney Fletcher Schools requires that you complete any course within 180 days of your enrollment date. The school may grant an extension for a student who experiences unforeseen hardship or difficulty in completing the course within that time. You must contact a course administrator to request an extension of your course. The school and/or the course provider require(s) a fee to extend your course completion deadline. The fee extends your course for a 60-day period and you may purchase as many as 3 extensions. In order for you to retain knowledge and pass course examinations, the school recommends that you complete the course requirements as soon as possible, no later than 180 days from your enrollment date. You must contact a school administrator at (770) 850-9090 to request an extension.
