School Policies and Procedures for
Computer-based and Online Distance Education Courses

You must read this material and agree to abide by these policies before ordering or completing courses on-line or by CD-ROM.
Barney Fletcher Schools is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission to offer real estate prelicense, and postlicense courses. Our school code issued by the Commission is 40. The school renews its approval with the Commission on December 31, 2008.
The Commission has approved each of the online continuing education courses offered by the school through JMRE, Inc. for 3 hours of credit for real estate licensees. A combination of eight courses may be completed to meet the requirements for the 25-hour postlicense course for new salespersons in Georgia within their first year of licensure
In order to complete each course, you must review all online text materials, complete any assignments within the course, and answer all questions accurately within the course, and obtain a score of at least 90% on each online lesson examination. The course calculates scores automatically within the online program and displays scores during the course for you. Once you have completed all the course modules and achieved a minimum score of 90% on the comprehensive exam offered online for each course, you will be notified by email and within the online program that the lesson or the course has been successfully completed.
The Georgia Real Estate Commission requires that you personally complete all modules of the course. You will be required to certify online during the course that you have personally completed all modules of instruction and you will not be able to receive credit without that certification.
For continuing education courses. You are not required to take any written final examination at our Barney Fletcher Schools. If you are taking the postlicense course, the Commission requires you to pass a written 50-question final examination with a score of at least 75% after you have completed all the online modules for the course. You must contact the school directly at (770) 850-9090 after completing all online modules to schedule a course final examination at the school.
If you do not score 75% on the first final examination, you may take a separate second examination. You must score at least a 75% on the second examination in order to complete the postlicense course. If you do not pass the second examination, the Georgia Real Estate Commission requires you to enroll in and retake the postlicense course a second time. Most students pass the examination the first time. If you must enroll again in a postlicense course, we encourage you to retake your original course. Barney Fletcher Schools will offer you the second course at a reduced rate. Contact our office directly for information on the reduced course fee.
You must complete your online course within 180 days (6 months) from the date of your enrollment. The school may grant for a fee an extension for a limited time past the six month period. Contact the school directly to request any extension.
If you have any questions about the content of the course, contact the school at (770) 850-9090. The school will put you in touch with an approved instructor for the course.
When you have completed your online course {and passed the course final examination at the school if taking the postlicense course}, the school will register your credit online directly with the Georgia Real Estate Commission. The record of course completion will be placed automatically on your license record at the Commission. The school will not provide you with a paper certificate for the course.
You may not take any course that comprises all or part of a course for which you have received real estate credit within the previous year. Courses which are parts of the postlicense course on noted with an asterisk ( * ) on the course list provided in the online enrollment process.

No recruiting for any real estate brokerage firm is allowed on the premises of Barney Fletcher Schools at any time, including during enrollment or examination periods. The school’s offices at the Galleria 75 location are open Monday through Friday excluding holidays from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Once a course is purchased, there is NO Refund, unless due to technical difficulties beyond the student’s control, as determined by JMRE Inc. Tech Support. Technical difficulties do not include the following:
- Browser software, operating system software, or other software that is inoperable or less than the minimum required as detailed during the enrollment process in the Minimum Requirements section
- Difficulties in operating a Network system. It is recommended that all programs be closed and that the student log off the network during training.
- Unfamiliarity with navigating and using the Internet or using computer software and hardware. It is expected that the student have working knowledge of his/her computer, software and the Internet.
- Disconnection with the Internet or Internet service provider.
