Professional Instructors and Staff
Barney Fletcher and Pame Childress lead the staff of highly qualified instructors.
Barney Fletcher has been involved in real estate education as an instructor, manager or owner since 1971. He grew up in Brunswick, Georgia and, while in high school, he worked afternoons, weekends and summers for a local real estate and insurance agency primarily as an “office boy”. That job was his introduction to real estate and it made a lasting impression on him.
He did his undergraduate work at the University of Georgia in Athens, graduating in 1967 with majors in real estate and insurance. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration with a major in real estate from Georgia State University. In 1973, he purchased the Distance Learning division of the Georgia Institute of Real Estate (renaming it the National Institute of Real Estate). NIRE was one of the first two schools approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission and was the first Distant Learning school approved in Georgia.
He is a former director of the Georgia Institute of Real Estate; founder of Barney Fletcher Schools; he owns or has owned Accelerated Courses in Real Estate, Barney Fletcher Publishing, Allied School of Real Estate, Real Estate Tapes Unlimited, Real Estate Training Systems, and Atlanta Institute of Real Estate. In 1986, Barney Fletcher Enterprises, Inc. was formed as a holding company for the different interests.
Barney is a charter member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA). In 1983, while at a Chicago REEA Conference, Barney began networking with other successful school owners across the country and eventually became the founding father of Inner Circle Education which later became RealtyU, a national company comprised of over 40 independently owned schools in over 40 states.
Barney is an inaugural member of the Georgia Real Estate Commission’s Educational Advisory Committee, a founding member of the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association and a recipient of their “Distinguished Career Award”. Additionally, he has received recognition from RealtyU as “School of the Year” and is a recipient of their “Award of Excellence”.

Pame
Childress Hewitt is
Director of Barney Fletcher University.
Pame has been
a real estate licensee since 1988 and is responsible
for managing the daily responsibilities of the school
as well as the development of new programs.
Pame has worked for Barney Fletcher University for over
22 years after having a teaching background in Georgia
and Alabama.
She is a current member of the Georgia Real Estate Educators
Association and was honored in 2007 as the Outstanding
Administrator of the year.
Pame and her husband Robbie are real estate investors
and live in Smyrna.

Jerry Sexton is a graduate of Auburn University with a BS in Business
Administration. He retired from IBM where he held several different
positions across the United States. His IBM experience includes sales,
marketing, administration, finance, and consulting. Jerry was a manager for
16 years and an instructor in an executive briefing center the last six
years before retirement.
Jerry obtained his real estate license on March 1st, 1993. He made three Million
Dollar Clubs in three years before going into management in 1996. While
managing, he was an instructor in the firm's new agent post license course.
After managing for three years, Jerry began teaching full time for Barney
Fletcher Schools in 1999 and currently teaches their new agent and brokers
pre-license courses.
Jerry has been married to Linda for 39 years and has an adult son and
daughter.

Kathryne A. Pusch, President of ConsultKAP, is a seasoned professional consultant, broker and speaker. Kathryne began her career consulting in productivity and information systems for a large international consulting firm in 1979. Since then, she has worked successfully within the framework of large corporations, and small enterprise, across a broad range of industries, private and public sector.
She has owned and managed two small businesses herself, in addition to her successful business brokerage. Her consulting work focuses primarily on preparing businesses for a successful sale and helping individuals and companies who want to acquire a business. Kathryne has conducted training and seminars for buyers and sellers, as well as others in the brokerage industry, for many years. She was the 2003 president of GABB, the Georgia Association of Business Brokers, and has served on the Board of Directors.
Kathryne is an Instructor for Barney Fletcher Schools in Real Estate Pre-Licensing and several designation programs where she receives consistently excellent student evaluations.

Tim Monaghan is a Real Estate Sales Trainer, an Associate Broker and an Approved Georgia Real Estate Commission Instructor.
He entered the real estate business in the early eighties and was a Multi-Million Dollar producer and a member of the Cobb County Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club.
With undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education and his success in real estate sales, Tim is a natural in the classroom. He has been an educator for nearly 30 years which includes five years as an Assistant Professor at Georgia Tech, a year as the Director of a Management Training School, and six years as the Career Development Director for a large, Atlanta-based national real estate firm.
Tim is a former member of the faculty of the Georgia Realtors Institute, the Georgia Association of Realtors’ Outreach Program and is currently a Master Instructor at the Barney Fletcher School of Real Estate in Atlanta, Georgia. His professional designations include: Graduate, Realtors Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS).
As a member of the first Georgia Association of Realtors forms committee, Tim was instrumental in developing the standardized contracts and forms currently in use throughout the state of Georgia.

John W. Wilson graduated with a BA from the School of Commerce, University of Alabama and was an Advanced Studies/Marketing student at the University of Tennessee. He completed appraisal licensing studies at the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers which led to his obtaining the highest possible licensing level in Appraisal: Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
Currently, Johnny is President of Wilson & Associates Appraisers, Vice-President of Wilson & Wilson Unlimited, Inc., and Chancellor and Founder of Wilson School of Continuing Education. He has held the past positions of President/Owner of Natural Life, Inc., Vice-President of U.S. Chemical, Inc., and Director of Marketing of The Monarch Company.
Johnny, a former Captain in the United States Air Force, is the past president of Smyrna Rotary Club and holds membership in the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Omicron Delta Kappa-Leadership Organization, the Real Estate Educators Association, and the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Smyrna and has been recognized as the American Cancer Society’s “Volunteer of the Year”.
Johnny is the author and instructor of “Appraisal Fast Start” which he teaches for Barney Fletcher RealtyU. Additionally, he is an approved instructor for the Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina Real Estate Appraiser Boards as well as Marshall & Swift of Los Angeles.

Tom Gillett has been a mainstay in Georgia real estate and appraisal education for over twenty years. After having the honor and privilege of serving his country in the United States Navy as a helicopter crewman, Tom was discharged from the service in 1974 and began a career that now spans over thirty years and four decades.
Having worked as a salesperson, broker
and appraiser, Tom now focuses his efforts in education.
Currently, Tom instructs over five hundred classes per
year in varied real estate subjects and has authored for
companies such as Prentice-Hall, Applied Measurement Professionals,
The Psychology Corporation, Thomson-Computaught and the
Georgia Real Estate Commission. Tom has also authored the
real estate career manual “Breakaway To Success”.
Bringing to education the same tenacity and commitment to mission accomplishment that brought Tom the respect of his fellow crew-members over 30 years ago has today made him a “top gun” in the classroom. His achievements were recognized by the Georgia Association of REALTORS® as he was named the 2003 Georgia instructor of the year. Tom now lives in Snellville, Georgia, with his wife of over twenty-three years and his two children.

Judy Bost graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has been a residential real estate appraiser since 1988 and a Certified Appraiser since 1991 when she also obtained her FHA Appraisal Certification.
She is a member of the Employee Relocation Council and has served as a Qualified expert witness in the Cobb County and Fulton County Superior Courts.
She is a licensed Real Estate Appraiser
Instructor in Georgia and is a member of the staff of Barney
Fletcher RealtyU teaching appraisal career development
and continuing education classes.

Lee
Wiggins - Lee's
formal education started with a Bachelor of Science, Business
Marketing degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
His professional career includes 16 years as a Senior Marketing
Rep. at a major utility company where his duties included
training builders, contractors, and Realtors on constructing
and promoting energy efficient homes.
Lee is now president
of Informed Home Decisions, Inc. and is responsible for
performing home inspections and home consulting. He credentials
include CABO (ICC) Code Certified, and HUD (FHA) compliance
inspector. In addition, Lee is a practicing Real Estate
Associate Broker in Woodstock Ga. He is a certified ABR,
AREP, e-certified and a relocation specialist. Finally,
Lee holds a Ga. License as a Real Estate Instructor and
teaches pre-license, brokers license, and home inspection
at Barney Fletcher RealtyU.
Lee enjoys hunting, camping, chess, and
golf and is happily married to his lovely wife Sandy.
